Our Heritage

A piece of jewellery can begin with a stone, a memory or an idea of how it might be worn. Arnav grew from an interest in these personal beginnings, and in the possibilities that emerge when a client’s wishes meet a designer’s imagination.

An eye for jewellery

Chetan Raja and Ashwini Oza came to jewellery from different disciplines in Bangalore. Their shared approach brings knowledge of materials into conversation with design.

A gemologist and qualified diamantaire of the Gemological Institute of America, Chetan has spent nearly three decades working with jewellery. His interest in rare and antique pieces informs an appreciation of stones, workmanship and the details that give a creation its character. He guides the direction of Arnav with this understanding.

A design sensibility

Ashwini’s work moves between original design and antique revival. A form, a proportion or a detail from an older piece may become the starting point for a new expression. Her creative direction shapes the way Arnav jewellery is conceived, with attention to both its appearance and its relationship with the wearer.

A personal beginning

More than two decades ago, they opened a boutique studio where clients could take part in the creation of their jewellery. A conversation might lead to an original commission, or to a different way of wearing a piece already held dear. Listening to the person behind each request remains central to the work.

Made to accompany a life

From that studio, Arnav has grown into an international name. Its approach continues to bring together personal attention, thoughtful design and skilled workmanship.

Jewellery made to mark an occasion may become familiar through years of wear. The care given to its making is intended to accompany that life, and the memories it gathers along the way.
